Microneedling, also known as collagen restoration therapy (CRT), is a minimally invasive procedure which involves the use of a devise containing fine needles used to lightly puncture the skin, creating a controlled “perceived injury.” Each puncture creates a channel, which triggers the body to fill the microscopic “wound,” and produce new collagen and elastin, creating new capillaries. Not only does it treat the superficial layers, is restore the deeper layers of skin, without damaging or removing the upper layers.

Is Microneedling Better than Lasers?
According to noted plastic surgeon, Dr. Des Fernandes, “laser basically burns your skin. When you have a flash burn on your face, the skin looks younger, initially. Later, fine wrinkling of the skin occurs, Laser damages skin. However, microneedling is one of the safest procedures you can do. The results last much longer and the skin actually becomes healthier.”

Even if you’ve already undergone laser treatments, microneedling will improve the damaged skin, leaving them with softer, plumper, healthier skin.

What Areas can be treated with Microneedling?
Microneedling can be performed on any part of the body, face, neck arms, hips, thighs and legs, It can treat all skin colors and types without risk of burning or hyperpigmentation the patient.
What is the downtime? Does it hurt?
A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to a microneedling treatment, to reduce any discomfort (although some clients actually fall asleep!). Some redness will occur for 12 to 48 hours, post treatment.

Will I see Immediate results?
You’ll notice results after the first treatment. Significant results will occur after collagen remodeling takes place over time, and skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months.
