WHAT IS CELLUSTRIOUS®?
Cellustrious® Hair Follicle Rejuvenation Protocol is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes plant-derived growth factors, and cytokines to help with hair growth. This plant-based protocol uses no drugs, surgery, or injections.
The procedure was developed by Misti Barnes, an Associate Trichologist, Collagen Restoration Therapist, Medical Micropigmentation Artist and esthetician, who began her career by providing treatments to restore skin, post-surgical scars and acne scarring. Barnes was trained by Susan Church, one of the first to use microneedling, while working with burn survivors, in concert with Dr. Richard Grossman, of the Grossman Burn Center.
After several years of research, Barnes teamed up with a leading biochemist with a background in hair science (Revlon, Estée Lauder) to develop Cellustrious® at-home topical products.
HOW DOES CELLUSTRIOUS® WORK?
Cellustrious® uses the concept of skin disruption to target the cells that are critical to wound healing, and determining which cells will become skin or hair cells. Our goal is to help those cells choose to become hair cells, while strengthening and reinforcing follicles.
We also address: toxicity, inflammation, and DHT production. The results are thicker, fuller hair and increased density.

This is not the same as PRP (platelet-rich-plasma, which involves injecting a patient’s own platelets with medical needles). Cellustrious® is backed by the latest information and data, and is much less invasive than PRP. PRP is considered to be a “shot gun” approach. There’s no way to control and isolate in the PRP to select the biosignals that are favorable to hair growth.
Cellustrious® is a more precise approach, with selected plant-derived biomedical derivatives, peptides and cytokines that have efficacy. It requires no injections and is relatively pain free, with little downtime..
Not only was there hair growth but the hair growth remained. As I doctor, I understand not all patients are going to have the same effect as me but I was impressed. I am so happy with what Misti did for me. As a breast cancer survivor, she did an amazing job at areola re-pigmentation to the point where I actually feel whole again. With breast cancer the areola is often removed because it is indeed breast tissue.
